Flower & Plant Care Guide
Follow these care instructions to keep your flowers and plants fresh, healthy, and long-lasting.
Rose Care
- Use lukewarm water in the vase.
- Add the flower food provided.
- Trim the stem approximately ¾ of an inch at a 45° angle.
- Change the water every couple of days.
- Keep roses in a cool area, out of direct sunlight.
Fresh Flower Arrangements
- Fill the vase two-thirds full with fresh, lukewarm water and add flower food.
- Remove any foliage that will fall below the water line.
- Trim approximately ¾ of an inch from the bottom of the stems at a 45° angle.
- Keep in a cool area away from direct sunlight and heat.
- Change the water regularly after the second day.
Dish Garden Plants
- Keep the soil moist.
- Water thoroughly when the soil is dry to the touch.
- Do not allow the plant to stand in water.
- Prefers bright, diffused sunlight and a warm location.
Succulent Dish Gardens
- Place in bright, indirect sunlight.
- Water only when the soil is completely dry, typically once a week.
- Do not allow water to collect at the base of the container.
Money Tree
- Requires bright, indirect sunlight.
- Rotate the plant monthly to encourage even growth.
- Water thoroughly, allowing the soil to dry between waterings.
- Fertilize regularly during the spring and summer months.
Orchid Plants
- Keep at temperatures between 60–80°F with moderate to high humidity.
- Avoid drafts and cold areas.
- Fertilize during the warmer months to support the blooming cycle.
- Larger orchids may require staking to support stems as blooms develop.
- Water every 7 to 10 days. Test the moisture level by pressing a finger into the potting mix. If dry, water thoroughly and drain well. Wipe leaves to remove any water droplets.
African Violet
- Prefers bright, indirect sunlight.
- Keep soil moist but ensure proper drainage.
- Avoid placing near vents, fans, or drafty doorways.
Peace Lily
- Lightly water when the top inch of soil feels dry.
- Prefers indirect light.
- Room temperature between 65–80°F is ideal.
- Protect from drafts and temperature changes.
- Fertilize during spring and summer.
- Note: Peace Lilies are mildly toxic to humans and pets. Keep out of reach and wash hands after handling.
Bamboo Plant
- Prefers indirect light.
- Use bottled or distilled water.
- Add water every 2 to 7 days to keep soil lightly moist.
- Maintain temperatures between 65–90°F.
- Fertilize monthly in small amounts.
Poinsettia Plant
- Keep in indoor temperatures of 65–75°F.
- Avoid areas where temperatures fluctuate.
- Prefers indirect sunlight.
- Water weekly, when soil becomes dry to the touch. Water thoroughly and allow to drain completely.
